Here is an excerpt of the advantages\/disadvantages and properties of various packaging materials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plastics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/ld-pe\/\">LD-PE<\/a>: Low density polyethylene<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Very flexible for foils and bottles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well formable with low hardness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good chemical resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor resistance to organic solvents <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recyclable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/hd-pe\/\">HD-PE<\/a>: Polyethylene with higher density<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Better resistance to chemicals than LD-PE <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well malleable <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use up to approx. 100 degrees -large areas of application for food, cosmetics, chemicals and technical blow-moulded parts <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recyclable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/pet\/\">PET<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/rpet\/\">rPET<\/a>Polyethylene terephthalate (without\/with recycled content) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparent <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dimensionally stable, good strength<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Used mainly for food, but also cosmetics etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good resistance to aqueous and acidic fillers <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At high temperatures \"<a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/product-category\/bottles\/hotfill\/\">HOTFILL<\/a>\" options <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recyclable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/pp\/\">PP<\/a>: Polypropylene<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High chemical resistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High strength and rigidity with low weight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well formable, ideal for injection moulding processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat resistant and therefore well suited for packaging to be used in microwaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resistant to UV radiation and therefore often used in outdoor applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Often used for food packaging, medical devices, textile fibres and automotive components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recyclable, but recycling rate often lower than other plastics due to the variety of additives used in different PP products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Natural substance based materials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/aluminium\/\">Aluminium<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100% recyclable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid and unbreakable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stainless<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diffusion-proof<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good conductivity for cold and heat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good availability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3x lighter than steel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4x lighter than glass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well malleable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/glass\/\">Glass<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transparency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural raw materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tasteless and gas-tight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tolerates high temperatures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can be combined with many other materials without interactions <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dimensionally stable <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High recycling rate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/supermatic.ch\/en\/material\/stoneware\/\">Stoneware<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Starting material high purity alumina with high aluminium oxide content <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waterproof even without glaze <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High temperature resistance <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resistance to acids, aqueous alkalis and salt <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use also as a building material <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Which packaging is best suited to your product and your needs?
